An Amazing Gift

Tracy Jenkins made me an amazing amazing amazing gift!! This pendant is sooo pretty and it's made of my favorite stone, moonstone! I am totally not deserving of this awesome present. BUT! You should totally visit Tracy's site and talk to her about making custom designs! I've never seen this level of skill in metalwork... I'm a lucky duck.

Illustration Friday: Cake

These were a series of sketches for Peaceable Kingdom Press. Ultimately, they chose the version in color.

Illustration Friday: Sorry

Not a mastery of visual illustration, but something done in a "sorry" sort of mind state.

Booklist Cover

So, I wearily dragged myself from my nest this morning, dreading another day of painting woodland cuteness. But, to my amazement... Wes Adams (my oldest editor contact, the first to hire me freelance) sent me an email this morning showing me that my cover for Katherine Sturtvante's A True and Faithful Narrative made the Booklist publication. Yeah! That was a nice surprise. Now back to woodland cuteness.

On a side note: I HATE DHL. The address is written perfectly, yet somehow they still manage to goof it up. MAUDIT.

Mother's Day Trade

2 portraits I did for my friend Tracy Jenkins. She's making a gorgeous pendant necklace. No one tell my mum what I am getting her! If you do, you'll be in deeeeep trouble.

Well, it's been some time. Needless to say, it was a rusty session. Attack of the big heads.
